We were just about to sing a church song and say a prayer before bedtime when Haiden noticed Sippy who was asleep on the floor shaking and shivering.
Haiden- "Sippy is shaking. I think she is cold."
Michael-"...well give her a blanket."
Haiden-"...okay!"
He ran to his room, grabbed his comforter and sheet, then wrapped her securely with only her head sticking out of the blanket nest.
He looked at her with a big accomplished smile, and said "she looks lonely..."
And then somehow one stuffed animal friend turned into 10 stuffed animal friends!
Bless our Sippy dogs little heart... she didn't move once.
Either she was so very tired or she has figured out fighting the ideas of her brothers and sisters doesn't work.
And while I'm blogging about Sippy, I love to tell all about Logan's big brotherly advise he had for her.
The other morning, the kids had a bunch of legos out on the kitchen table. Naturally a ton of those legos had fallen to the floor. Michael and I were sitting on the couch in the living room when we overhear Logan talking to Sippy.
"No Sippy dog! Don't eat those!"
We assume she did not listen because he went on to explain...
"Sippy dog, don't eat those! [brief pause and in a serious voice] ...you gonna die Sippy dog!"
We sure do love our Miss Sippy. Michael has been working with her to learn how to "sit" when commanded. She has made lots of progress.
Her current favorite chew toys are coat hangers. This dog will sneak into our closets, use that big nose of hers to move around clothes until she finds a lone hanger ripe for the taking. Then, she will grab it quickly and run out as if she thinks she is invisible to our eyes.
