Logan Michael McGowan

He arrived at 8:56pm on July 28 and weighs 7 lbs 7 oz

We are super excited to have Logan man in our lives.  The labor and delivery went well, and he seems to be a happy, healthy little boy.  Heavenly Father truly answered our prayers.

The labor lasted a bit longer than my experience with Kailey.  Since I was 38 weeks I wasn't given any help til I reached 7 cm.  Once that happened, my water was broke and the epidural in, I was put on pitosin which helped tremendously. I know we started pushing around 8:30 because we were watching Expedition Impossible which came on at 8.  I had to do quite a bit of pushing with this little guy.  Unlike Kailey's easy 15 minutes and out, he is a bit bigger and took a bit more effort.  I suppose my little body has only been used to pushing out 6 pounders? I don't know, but it did take longer and way more effort.

We won't be leaving the hospital til saturday but I get to stay in my huge delivery room the entire time! I'm SO happy about that too! I've never been to a hospital that has let me do that yet. I suppose it must have something to do with this being a community hospital. Whatever the reason, I couldn't be happier. I have always hated to get moved to the smaller room so YAY! on that note.

More pictures to come I'm sure! We even had delivery pictures, so we are super excited to see those!! Special thanks to Janna Nielson with Newline Photography! I hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did ;))

Oh, and another special thanks to my good friend Stephanie Hedman who has been watching my kids since 8:30 this morning. What a great friend! Thanks so much!
