It's hard to believe Haiden's 1st grade year is coming to a close.
This year I was able to go with him and his fellow 1st graders on a field trip! They went to a park to play and eat lunch, then went to see a play called "If you give a cat a cupcake."
It was a super cute play, but the most enjoyable part was watching the room of 1st graders laugh at the actors on stage.
Haiden surprised us by wanting to participate in the 1st grade talent show by singing the Lego theme song! He did a great job! And later he was asked to preform it again in the school wide variety show.
He did a great job! We were impressed with his ability and eagerness to get up in front of his peers in 1st grade to sing, so you can imagine our surprise at his willingness to do it again in front of his whole school.
There were so many talented and fearless kids! It was a fun show to watch!

Of course we all know practice makes perfect, and Haiden did practice. It was fun watching and encouraging him along the way. At one point, in the very beginning, he didn't dance. After a small bit of encouragement, he decided he would implement his own dance moves.
