"A Black Belt is just a White Belt that never gave up!"
We started Haiden in Karate and he loves it.
A week ago he received his uniform and after some hard work, he received his white belt last night! Instead of just handing the kids their uniforms and first belt, they require each kid to check off a list of requirements during the week which include chores as well as several "black belt" manners that have to be shown throughout the week. They have to turn in two weeks worth to finally receive that long awaited white belt. ;) This handy little list doesn't stop there though. By continuing to turn them in, they receive special patches for their uniforms. It's a great idea and we are very happy with the place we chose for him to take karate.
We are so very proud of him! He truly is a great kid, an amazing big brother, and a wonderful son!
