MS in MAY!

We were able to take a long week trip back home! Mississippi is a long 11 hour drive from Missouri, but our kids are fantastic road trippers.


We arrived very early on Saturday morning and after sleeping a few hours, we awoke to fun! I was able to visit with a dear friend while she cut and colored my hair.  The kids were gifted with awesome "surprises" in the form of a dune racer and barbie jeep from my mom- Gah, and they spent the day and night playing hard with Gah and Pawpaw Steve. Michael and I snuck away for a date night to Bonsia!! (It is still the BEST in the whole wide world. MS is one lucky state to be home to that tasty fried rice!!)

Logan man loved his hat on Saturday. He wore it all day so was so stinkin cute! 

Haiden and Logan riding the awesome dune racer that their Gah bought for them! They love it.  I'd also like to say that Haiden has excellent driving skills. 

KK has a barbie jeep waiting on her! She liked it, but wasn't as good at driving it. She kept running into trees, etc. She has been practicing though!

But I wouldn't have it any other way. This little girl is so happy and so sweet. 

The following day we visited with my Aunt and cousins!! It was so fun to see them all-- it had been awhile! I even had 2 new cousins to meet and I just loved having the chance to see them in person!!

Monday morning we left for a quick ORANGE BEACH trip! It was so much fun-- we went on a dolphin cruise and had a great beach day!

We got back home, visited with my Dad... and then switched gears to visit all of Michael's family. We saw the McGowans Friday and the Bryants on Saturday.

So a great story. Haiden was driving Lillian around... they had been riding for awhile when Haiden comes around the corner alone and crying. My immediate thought was somehow they wrecked and where is Lillian?! Haiden, through tears, tells us that he saw a snake! Yes, he saw a snake in the Dune Racer, stopped the racer, hopped out, and ran. Thankfully, Lillian comes around the corner oblivious to what was going on. Poor her. Haiden now knows-- don't ever leave a little one behind and don't stop and hop out if you see a snake-- keep going! haha 

This when everyone went looking for the snake... which we didn't find.

And of course Ella hit it off with Emma girl.

We had an awesome time in MS! It was such a special time-- we got to see family and we made some great memories!!!
